Eligibility Requirements for
American
legion
- *Persian Gulf-Iraqi Freedom: August 2, 1990 - Cessation of
hostilities as determined by U.S. Government
- Lebanon/Grenada: August 24, 1982 – July 31, 1984
- Korean War: June 25, 1950 – January 31, 1955
- World War II: December 7, 1941 – December 31, 1946
- World War I: April 6, 1917 – November 11, 1918
*Because eligibility dates remain open, all members of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible to join The American Legion at this time, until the date of the end of hostilities as determined by the government of the United States. .

the service, including National Guard and Reserves, during any of the above
dates and are interested in joining our Post.
